Joy

It’s the holiday season and you will start to see the words Joy in many places. I encourage you to remember something key about Joy…

Joy is defined as a feeling of great pleasure and happiness.

Joy is a something you can choose.

As the days pass and you start the countdown to Christmas Day and New Year’s Day as the year is approaching its’ end. Consider choosing Joy. Yes! Choose Joy instead of other feelings. The seasons of life in every season present challenges. The things we learn and gain from every challenge make us stronger. I’d like to think that it makes choosing Joy a little bit easier to do. While are choosing Joy we are looking at the positive feelings we gain from getting stronger in every season.

Choosing Joy also links us to the assurance of the faithfulness of god in every season. It allows us to reach back and look into our faith files and see how he brought us through.

May the Joy of the Lord be your strength!

Do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10). KJV
